Remembering Tom
This page was created in memory of a life that mattered to Jesus Christ.
Tom was a son, father, grandfather, brother, business owner, believer, farmer, fraternity brother, and friend.
Born in Owensboro, Kentucky
1940
Tom was born during WWII to Rufus and Trecy. He was the middle child between two sisters, JoAnn and Donna Faye. He attended Murray State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Tom worked at Modern Welding and GE before starting a small business in Owensboro, TOMco Concrete Products, Inc. This is where he spent the bulk of his working years until his retirement. Tom was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.
When not working, Tom allocated nearly every waking moment to his Harley-Davidson interests. He took many vacations with his friends and rode his bike to places like Florida and South Dakota.
He loved his Doberman Pinschers, Spanish peanuts, and Coke. He also was very proud of his family farm and kept his lawn well-manicured. Tom was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Owensboro and blasted gospel music while driving his red truck. He enjoyed entertaining and hosting his friends.
Tom leaves behind a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
The last months of his life Tom spent quality time with his family and enjoyed eating Whataburger and chocolate-covered peanuts. After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Tom is surely revving his Harley in the sky with no worries or pain.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
- Revelation 21:4
